August 22, 2006 ~ It's been exactly one year since we arrived in Bermuda. The year has passed very swiftly with lots of experiences, new friends, a different climate and of course, visitors! The latest company to arrive were my sons Ian and Fraser, seen at left walking through the arrivals gate at the airport.
Most of this month's posting shows what we've been doing lately which is usually hanging out at various beaches. Much too hot to be doing anything else most days. |

As soon as they got settled it was off to the beach and what better beach for a couple of 21 year olds but Horseshoe Bay with crystal clear water at 80 degrees, blazing sun and lots of girls! |
|

Of course I like our smaller beach across the road from where we live where it's often just myself and the only girl for me. At left Lori shows off her new suit!

A visit to Bermuda must take in the area in and around St Georges to the East. Images on either side show us at Tobacco Bay Beach again. This is the same beach shown in last months posting with other members of the Goodwin family. This time its with the boys. |

We have been waiting for some visitors so as to have an excuse to visit the Bermuda Aquarium and Zoo. Fraser and Ian's visit gave us that excuse! Above is a picture Lori took of the flamingo area. We heard them long before we saw them. This image is worth clicking on to enlarge, especially if you like the colour "pink" (as lots of Bermudians do). |

Back to the Beach! This time to Church Bay which is just down the road from us. A snorkler's paradise as the reef is close to shore so only a short swim to reach. Both these images of the boys are worth clicking on to enlarge in my opinion.... but then I'm prejudiced. They must have got their good looks from their father! |

One day we went to the Grotto Hotel for lunch and of course had to visit the caves which are abundant on this part of the island. At left is another picture of the boys on their favorite beach .... Horseshoe Bay! |

So sadly, after a couple of weeks of bonding, the boys had to go home.
Now it's just Lori and I .... and a lonely beach.
