Bermuda July to December
2005 |

Actually we are into mid September as I write this. Time does fly by and it seems to be passing rather quickly these days. I had a friend email me the other day saying that he wished I posted to Life is a Beach more often as it made him feel like he was on a mini vacation while he read through it. What a nice compliment! So I apologize to everyone for not being more on the ball. Hope you enjoy these images taken of the last few months in Bermuda. |

Canada Day! On July first all the Canadian ex pats congregate on Chaplin Bay Beach. For the second year in a row, brother Randy showed up for the occasion, this time with his good friend Johnny Corona. Everyone pulls out all their nationalistic regalia including hats, vests, chairs, kites and flags. There was live music and games including a tug-of-war between the East and West. At right is a caped Randy displaying his home town paper, the "Whistler Question". The next week the same picture was displayed in the paper with the slogan; "Look who is reading the Question!" As always, if you click on the images you can see it full screen. Often you can see much more. |

The day was hot and the water warm, the beer cold and food was plentiful. All in all Maggie Muggans it was quite a day.

got to go for a boat ride while I slaved away at the Inferno. Above is
a picture she took somewhere off the coast of Bermuda. |

One fine evening we decided that we would go down the road and watch the sun set on Church Bay. There we found Simone from Toronto. She was sitting by herself in the surf with a glass of wine. Lori asked if she could take her picture and soon we were getting her to pose. (Randy directing of course)

Lori continues to work with her camera. At left is a shot of our little beach at Cross Bay showing the hillside and houses with a never ending view of the Atlantic. The stairs are for people who like to climb. Personally, I drive to the beach. The image at right is of an empty table at the bar at Snorkel Park in Dockyard ... an "art picture". |

So I hope you enjoyed this posting for July/August. I'll have to get going on September/October right away. You'll notice that there was not any pictures of golf this posting. Thought I would give you all a break. Now that Tiger isn't coming to Bermuda to compete in the upcoming Masters Tournament, golf has lost some of it's shine. I'm going to leave you with another image from Lori again taken from Cross Bay looking out to sea. I figure it's the unofficial top point of the Bermuda Triangle and standing on the beach I'm looking South over the Atlantic towards Cuba. This picture is formatted to 1400 pixels wide as most computer screens these days have at least that resolution. If you don't, then you'll have a scroll bar across the bottom of your browser. |
